About Michele Lynn Communications

Michele Lynn is a communications professional with more than 25 years of experience with community organizations, small businesses and elected officials. Michele brings to each project formidable writing skills, an eye for detail, a sense of humor and deep caring and commitment.  Whether she is writing a magazine article, creating a marketing communications plan, supervising the production of a publication, or managing an outreach project, Michele provides individual attention to each client.

Michele’s professional career has included working for elected officials and a variety of nonprofit organizations in positions ranging from communications associate to executive director. She was

a staff writer for 10 years at San Francisco’s Noe Valley Voice newspaper. A skilled writer, Michele’s work has appeared in such diverse publications as Chapel Hill Magazine, The Chapel Hill News, The Chapel Hill Herald, Durham Herald-Sun, Durham Magazine, Gist from the Mill (the Social Science Magazine of Duke University), Parenting, Organic Gardening, The National Sheriff’s Magazine, This Month at Duke and UNC Business.

Michele’s education includes a degree in political science from Barnard College, Columbia University and completion of the prestigious Coro Foundation Fellows Program in Public Affairs. She also completed graduate school course work in business administration at the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.

Michele enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading (anything from novels and memoirs to the sides of cereal cartons), volunteering in the community, and following Bruce Springsteen as he performs in concert around the country.
